How long do Scenthut perfume oils last on skin?

6–10 hours typically. Concentrated oils sit closer to the skin and evaporate slower than alcohol-based EDPs, so projection is softer but wear time is longer. We list a per-product longevity rating on every PDP.

Are these oils safe in Nigerian heat?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that's exactly what they're built for. Concentrated oils don't suffer the alcohol flash-off that EDPs do, so they hold up much better in 30–35°C weather without becoming overpowering.

How do I apply perfume oil?

On freshly moisturised skin: pulse points (wrists, behind the ears, the inside of the elbow), the base of the throat, and behind the knees. Pat — don't rub — to avoid breaking the molecules.

Can I layer oils?

Are these real designer perfumes?

No — and we don't pretend to be. Scenthut sells designer-inspired perfume oils: high-concentration interpretations of popular fragrances, blended to capture the same accord without the alcohol carrier and at a fraction of the bottle price. They're not counterfeits, and we never claim a designer label on the bottle. If a scent profile reminds you of a designer fragrance, that's by design — but the oil is its own thing.

Do the oils stain fabric or clothes?

Pure fragrance oils can leave a temporary mark on light or delicate fabrics — silk, satin, light cotton — that usually washes out, but we'd rather you not test it on your favourite agbada. Apply to skin (pulse points, base of throat, behind the knees), let it absorb for a minute, then dress. If you do get oil on fabric, blot — don't rub — and wash as normal.

How fast is delivery?

Same-day in Lagos Island and Lekki for orders placed before 12pm. 1–2 days for Lagos mainland. 2–3 days for Abuja. 3–5 days for major cities like Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano. The exact timeline shows at checkout based on your shipping address.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Card (Visa, Mastercard, Verve) and bank transfer. Bank transfers use a dedicated virtual account that auto-confirms when payment lands — usually within 2 minutes.

Can I return an opened bottle?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately not — for hygiene reasons we can't resell opened bottles. We do accept exchanges of unopened bottles within 7 days, and we replace damaged or wrong items at no charge. See our Returns page for details.

Do you offer discovery sets?

Yes — pick any 4 fragrances at 8ml each for ₦18,000, or 6 for ₦27,000. Build your set at /discovery-set, or take the quiz and we'll prefill the picker with your matches.

Is my payment information stored on your site?

Accepted Answer

No. All card processing is handled by Paystack. We never see or store your full card number. Your saved payment methods (if you add any) live entirely on Paystack's PCI-DSS compliant systems.

How do I unsubscribe from marketing emails?

Accepted Answer

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also toggle marketing on/off from /account/preferences. Order confirmations and shipping updates are not marketing — those will keep arriving as long as you have active orders.
